Am I eligible for the Call?
If you are working in the field of Earth System Science and your institution is generally eligible for funding of DFG you are eligible in this 2nd Call for NFDI4Earth Pilots. However, in this call we exclude researchers that are part of the working group of NFDI4Earth steering group members. Please check if this applies to you with the list of steering group members and respective working groups
I am member of a working group lead by a steering group member. Why am I not eligible?
We appreciate the efforts and time the steering group members including Co-Spokespersons and their working groups contribute to NFDI4Earth. As NFDI4Earth is a community effort we however strive to include the perspectives and ideas of as many members of the community as possible. Thus we particularly welcome working groups and institutions to participate in this second call for pilot that haven't received funding from NFDI4Earth yet. We want to diversify the contributions to this joint effort. Furthermore the steering group will take the final funding decision on pilot projects and this way we can avoid conflicts of interests in the decision making.
My institution is not yet participant of NFDI4Earth, can I apply?

The full roadmap is one result of a
pilot and should provide details about future operation of your developments and
serve as documentation and blueprint for interested researchers with similar
project ideas. To provide an initial idea of such a roadmap you should at least
provide a title of your roadmap in your proposal. If found useful, you may of
course add one or sentences to provide details of your roadmap.
