EOSC SYMPOSIUM 2022

The European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Symposium is the main EOSC annual event and takes place this year in Prague, Czech Republic, from 14th-17th November 2022 as part of the calendar of events of the Czech presidency of the Council of the EU.

Over 500 stakeholders from ministries, policy makers, research organisations, service providers, research infrastructures and research communities across Europe and beyond are expected to attend the Symposium to reflect on the EOSC key achievements and strategic challenges, and to identify priorities and concrete actions at the European, national, and institutional level to speed up EOSC implementation.

GGOS Days 2022

The annual meeting of the Global Geodetic Observing System - GGOS Days 2022 will take place on 14^th and 15^th of November in Munich (Germany) at the Bavarian Academy of Science and Humanities (BAdW). A report on recent activities and present plans for the coming year will be presented. The keynote speakers will present on four very interesting topics about new geodetic developments and studies on the impacts of climate change. The event is organized by the German Geodetic Commission (DGK), the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Global Geodetic Observing System (GGOS).

NFDI@LUH - Infoveranstaltung

Die Nationale Forschungsdateninfrastruktur (NFDI) hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, die oftmals nur lokal und temporär gespeicherten Forschungsdatenbestände systematisch zu erschließen, nachhaltig zu sichern und zugänglich zu machen sowie (inter-)national zu vernetzen. Die NFDI wird von Forschenden und Infrastrukturpartnern (Rechenzentren und Bibliotheken) ausgestaltet, die dazu in sogenannten Konsortien und übergreifenden Sektionen zusammenarbeiten. Auch die TIB und die LUH sind an verschiedenen NFDI-Konsortien beteiligt. Im Rahmen dieser Informationsveranstaltung werden die daran beteiligten LUH- und TIB-Mitarbeitenden die NFDI und ihre Konsortien vorstellen sowie Einblicke in deren Struktur, Ausrichtung, Ziele und konkreten Arbeiten geben.

NFDI4Ing Conference 2022

The aim of the conference is to advance and unify international (research) data management and to foster exchange. Will be discussed open issues and future challenges on topics such as terminologies, metadata, ontologies, repositories and many more. Likewise, opportunities for networking and exchange with the research community will be provided.

FAIR-IMPACT is presenting an abstract for a session focused on how FAIR-IMPACT is expanding FAIR Solutions across the European Open Science Cloud.

HMC Conference 2022

HMC is a platform developing and implementing novel concepts and technologies for a sustainable handling of research data through high-quality metadata within the Helmholtz Association.

DEUQUA 2022 - Connecting Geoarchives

The DEUQUA-conference 2022 is organised by the German Quaternary Association (DEUQUA – Deutsche Quartärvereinigung) and the Section Climate Dynamics and Landscape Evolution of the GFZ Potsdam and will take place in Potsdam from 25 to 29 September 2022. The organisation is supported by the Geo.X research network for geosciences in Berlin and Potsdam.

The conference is open to scientists interested in all fields of Quaternary Sciences and especially young scientists are invited to participate!

GeoMinKöln 2022, September 11th to 15th - Abstract Submission

We cordially invite you to submit an abstract for the session 11.1 "Shaping the future of geoscientific data: The path to FAIR data" at the GeoMinKöln 2022, September 11th to 15th organised by Thomas Rose, Dominik C. Hezel, Horst R. Marschall (all NFDI4Earth & Goethe-Universität Frankfurt), and Sabine Klein (Deutsches Bergbau-Museum Bochum). Kirsten Elger (GFZ Potsdam) will open session with a keynote lecture.
