NFDI Commons

Our Mission

We establish the NFDI4Earth as a connecting node for the German research data management (RDM) infrastructures in the Earth System Sciences (ESS). We work closely with the Coordination Office, in particular on cultural change activtities (M 4.2), and provide two products/services:

Connecting national ESS stakeholders

We act as a central communication hub between the various NFDI4Earth task areas, connect with other NFDI consortia, universities, research facilities, authorities, RDM initiatives, or funding agencies involved in the promotion of FAIR (geo)spatial research data and their management. We further address cross-cutting topics and facilitate the cross-disciplinary sharing of FAIR data.
