Information requirements by EU Data Protection Regulation

We - the Chair of Geoinformatics at Technische Universtät Dresden - as the organisers of the NFDI4Earth Plenary Meeting would like to inform you about which personal data we handle for the purposes of organising and implementing our conference.

Your registration and related information of personal data is in any case provided voluntarily. When you send your registration to/requests about the 3rd NFDI4Earth Plenary Meeting via online registration, e-mail, fax or post or rather contact us because of our meeting personally/via phone, we assume that you accept the hereafter referred processing of your personal data voluntarily.

For which purposes do we use your data?

We process your data for organisational and implementing purposes. In additon, we will use these data to send you (prospective) advance notices as well as program updates. If you do not want to receive these information (any more), please do not hesitate and contact us - of course, in such a case you can participate in our meeting but you will not receive the information mentioned above.

Do we publish your data?

There will be a subscriber directory in the meeting documents only issued to the participants of the meeting. In the directory, the first and last name, the institution/company and location will be published. 

On the website of our meeting we publish the program. As it is common at scientific conferences, we will name the authors and co-authors as well as the speakers. Beyond that your personal data will not be published without your consent.

What happens during the conference?

We will take photos during the meeting for documentation purposes. These images are only published in brochures and on the internet. Your person will not be in the focus as we will only produce overview photos of the meeting rooms and the speakers. Do not hesitate to contact us or the photographers if you have any objections. Only this way we can protect your rights and avoid taking your photo or to delete your photo if it was already taken.   

Will your personal data be transmitted to third parties?

We will not transmit your data to third parties if you have not agreed in advance.

How long do we save your data?

We regularly check that outdated data is deleted. Otherwise we save your data until further notice. If you would like to initiate deletion of all data yourself send us a message directly to nfdi4earth-coordination@tu-dresden.de

Your right to information and objection

You can always get the information which data we process about you. You also have the right to object to any part of data processing or any part thereof.

Your right to complain

If you believe that we do not process your data properly also in accordance with the legal provisions on data protection, you can contact us at or the data protection officer of the TU Dresden or the responsible supervisory authority for data protection.
