GeoDPA 2024

Location: Oldenburg, Germany

Geoinformation Data, Processing and Applications 2024 (GeoDPA 2024) - DLR International Conference

This three-day event will focus on upcoming user needs related to all types of georeferenced data, the generation and processing of Earth observations and geodata and their applications. Many users use georeferenced data generated by DLR for their scientific and industrial applications in space, aeronautics, energy, transport and security. The upcoming DLR GeoDPA Conference will focus on these user needs, also enhancing the networking and interactive exchange between users and producers of georeferenced data from various communities.

The conference program includes inspiring keynotes followed by interactive poster sessions, sessions on EuroGEO activities and goals, and the GEOSS and FAIR data principles, an overview on ongoing DLR project showcases, a trade fair by companies and service providers, a panel discussion with scientists, industry and policymakers, research activities from the DLR projects Digital Atlas 2.0 and ELK.

HeFDI Code School: Sustainable Research Software (EN)

Location: Kassel, Germany and online

The HeFDI Code School: Sustainable Research Software is a cooperation between HeFDI (Hessian Research Data Infrastructures), Suresoft project, NFDI4Earth and NFDI4Ing. The HeFDI Code School addresses the need of especially early career researchers to learn how to create good scientific software and improve the quality of their code for better reusability and sustainability.  

Workshops are offered from 26th of April to 4th of July 2024 on two tracks: introduction into basic programming and data science skill (online) and advanced skills in research software development (hybrid). All workshops are free-of-charge and require registration.

SSA Annual Meeting 2024
