Interdisiplinary eLTER Science Conference

Location: Tampere, Finland

The eLTER Science Conference will be a great opportunity for the different communities and disciplines that study the linkages between the different "spheres" (geo-, hydro-, bio-, atmosphere- and sociosphere) of the habitable skin of the Earth. The high-level scientific and social programme will encourage diversity of approaches, exchange between generations of scientists and inclusivity in the spirit of promoting inter- and transdisciplinary.

EduHub workshop "How to Create Publishable netCDF Data"

Location: Universität Hamburg, Germany

As the NFDI4Earth EduHub Hamburg, we are part of an expanding network of research organizations dedicated to offering training events that promote FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) and open Earth System Science.

This workshop is designed to provide practical skills and knowledge on creating high-quality, publishable netCDF datasets. Participants are encouraged to bring their own data, but we will also provide datasets for use during the workshop. Prerequisite: Programming skills in Python.

CORDI - Conference on Research Data Infrastructure

Location: Aachen, Germany

The CoRDI 2025 (Conference on Research Data Infrastructure) will take place from August 26 to 28, 2025, at RWTH Aachen University. The event will feature a diverse program including keynote presentations, lectures, poster sessions, and a "market of opportunities." The conference aims to enhance knowledge through better use of research data, generating societal benefits. It will gather national and international stakeholders from various research and infrastructure fields. Calls for papers and posters will be issued ahead of the event.

10th Data Science Symposium (DSS)

Established in 2017, the 10th DSS is dedicated to fostering connections between scientific methods, applications, and infrastructure developments. Our symposium covers a wide range of topics, including AI, metadata, digital twins, sensor management, and much more.

Back-to-Back Plenary NFDI4Earth & NFDI4Biodiversity

Location: Bremen, Germany

In 2025 we will host a joint NFDI4Earth and NFDI4Biodiversity back-to-back Plenary as a community event from 22–25 September 2025 at the University of Bremen and MARUM. NFDI4Earth kicks off with its Plenary on 22/23 September, followed by a joint session on 23/24 September featuring poster sessions, a software marketplace, workshops, and more. NFDI4Biodiversity wraps up with its meeting on 24/25 September.

IAL-IPA 2025 3rd Paleolimnology & Limnogeology International Symposium

Location: Aix les Bains, France

The 3rd International Paleolimnology & Limnogeology Symposium (IAL-IPA 2025) will take place from 6–10 October 2025 in France. The conference focuses on lake sediment records as archives of Earth system processes and human-environment interactions. It aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration across paleolimnology, limnogeology, and related fields.

International Science Workshop: The Solid Earth: Past, Present and Future

Location: TUDelft, The Netherlands

The 4D Dynamic Earth project is hosting a three-day science workshop focused on Solid Earth applications of satellite missions. The event will feature presentations by experts from various geoscience disciplines, highlighting recent results from this ESA-funded project. International University students and early career researchers are invited to participate and present their work during poster sessions. The workshop provides a platform for scientific exchange and networking within the geoscience community.
